The DLF IPL 2009 is here. Staged overseas and slated to be bigger, better and grander than the last one. But before the action begins, we bring you an overview of the phenomenon called the Indian Premier League, in a six part series, Live the League.

Samara Chopra
Born and raised in New Delhi, Samara studied theatre and psychology at New York University’s ‘Tisch School of the Arts’ and at the ‘School of Arts and Sciences’. On returning to Delhi she studied film at the Institute of Film and Television at Rai University and also pursued a Yoga Teacher Training Diploma at Jawaharlal Nehru University (affiliated with Kavaliyadham, Lonavla). Since then she has done theatre productions, has acted in a few independent short films like Rajan Khosa’s ‘Flower Girl’ and Sona Jain’s ‘For Real’ and has also worked with children with learning disabilities. She is a student, practitioner and teacher of Yoga and has also worked as a free-lance Anchor for a travel show on Indian Television. Currently she anchors shows on Photography and Wellness on NDTV Good Times. more»
