Anchor Noopur Tiwari travels all around South Africa tasting the wine and meeting the people. Her journey begins in Cape Town, where she gets a firsthand account of the locals' struggle during Apartheid. She learns about the Malay influence on food and the way of life. From peering over the clouds on Table Mountain to almost touching the southernmost tip of the nation at Cape of Good Hope, she experiences it all.
Wine lands beckon and she starts exploring their beauty and magic from the region of Paarl. A tour of the Seidelberg Wine estate on a tractor and wine and cheese pairing at Fairview leave her craving for more. She tries her hand at goat milking and horse riding, but talking about wine is what she likes best. Meeting winemakers, discussing the various aspects of wine and finally getting down to crushing grapes give her a high. She has been with NDTV for over 13 years. Noopur launched the political satire Gustakhi Maaf, Double Take for NDTV and co-scripted NDTV’s first fiction series Ji Mantri Ji.
She has also produced several episodes of the series Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai and has travelled to more than 35 European cities for different stories and features in the past four years.
Noopur divides her time between Paris where she lives and New Delhi. She is currently NDTV's news correspondent in Europe and anchors and produces shows on wine, art and culture for NDTV Good Times.
