About the Anchors
Vikram Chandra & Rajiv Makhni
Vikram Chandra & Rajiv Makhni
Vikram Chandra is a journalist with over 10 years of experience. His exemplary work has won him laurels not just in India but all over the world. Known as a reporter par excellence, he is presently the CEO of NDTV Networks. Vikram has been named "Global Leader for Tomorrow" by the World Economic Forum in Davos. He studied at Oxford University on an Inlaks Scholarship, followed by a course in Mass Media at Stanford University and graduated from St Stephen's in Economics Honours.

India's Tech Guru Rajiv Makhni is as strange as they come. He anchors multiple TV shows on technology (one in chaste Hindi), owns a large clothing company (but makes clothes only for women), loves food so much that he ran a chain of restaurants (and samples everything, everyday), was a successful model (and manages to look sufficiently embarrassed about it when asked) and is currently writing a book (not on technology). He is a multiple award-winning columnist and writes for major publications in India and Abroad including the Outlook group, Hindustan Times, Mansworld, T3, Travel and Leisure International, The Man, M Magazines etc. He is an Engineer and an MBA and has just discovered that Fatherhood may well be the best education in life.

Praveen Rao :

Hi,
I have been using all find of Smartphone’s. I see that every new model of any brand comes with a bit of changes and with a high price tag. My idea goes more of Smartphone OS and a bit changes on the hardware to support the software.
(SP= Service Provider)
My idea is related to Telecom Company and SIM technology.
Note: when a phone is bought from any SP a preinstalled app with free 3G to buy new number and activate the phone.
1. Hardware SIM card has to be replaced with a software SIM.
2. A portal for each country with the Telecom Company software SIM. etc: Airtel, Aircel, Idea
3. An app to download software SIM into to your Smartphone. Each software SIM is registered to a Number: 919865689858.
4. Registration and cancelation of any number should be online. Online submission of All required documents and Photo ID and Adhar ID card verification.
5. This feature will help lot of business man and international traveler to switch between different SP in different country. by just going to respective country portal and selecting any SP and downloading the Software SIM. when u land in that country you r ready to use the service.
6. Each will have a Software SIM account just like a email account. All record will be in his account how many SIMs he has, and used all that. In case of any crime SP can track them off.
7. You can have any number of software SIMs installed on your Smartphone. And limited also depends on type of registration. When user makes a call Location is registered on his account and SP server. For greater Security reason.
8. Each Software Should have a Expiry date 2 or 3 years and with a renewal alert for the user where he can renew it online.

These will reduce paper usage and more Secure.
If you like my idea please let me know so I can work more on this and will appreciate anyone can help me to build this.

Go Green mera bharth mahan.

Thank You.
