Kerala, stay beautiful…
Kerala, stay beautiful…
Every time I come back I’m reminded of why it’s known as ‘God’s own country’… this is the place of simple joys! It’s serenity, vistas of emerald green hills and swaying coconut trees, which just soothes the soul.

I know I lost the bet, and not only does Kim get to go to Goa for two entire weeks, but for those very two weeks I’m grounded in Mumbai. So, I had to make the best of it.

I was a little hesitant at first cause this was my first time on a bike like this. So did my practice (didn’t want to drop the bike), within minutes I was comfortable and we were on the road.

Honestly, it was not the destination, but the road leading to it which made me narrow down my choice: I was driving down the new Yamuna expressway to Agra.

I landed at the KMS track in Coimbatore thinking ‘I’m going to drive a Track Day Race Car around a track. Now how hard could that be?’

I didn’t know then how lucky I was to be around Aditya Patel: a well known professional racer, and among the top racers in the country, who I met, a week earlier in Chennai when we reviewed the Audi TT Coupe.

I looked down and couldn’t believe I was actually standing on the circuit... at the same spot where (for the first time in history) 6 world champions would race against each other a few days later. Was this for real?!

Ok to be perfectly honest with you, I really don’t know where to start. Never really written a blog before, but heck. I’ll give it a shot. Never really felt the need to earlier but when there is so much excitement happening in one’s life I believe that you must share it.

About The Show

2 for the Road is an auto show that travels the length and breadth of India with two auto buffs and travel junkies - Kim Jagtiani and Varun Mitra.

These two explore India, their way. Their story is as much about the ride, as it is about the road. It is as much about the destination, as what takes them there.

The show will have it all from Ferrari 430 to Audi A8 to Auto rickshaws, from Thunderbird to jet-ski and aeroplanes!

Kim and Varun hit the roads, take on the twists and turns of India’s varied terrains – absorb its diversity, people, unearth its known and unknown secrets, but all of this through what they love the most – all things on wheels and more!

They say choice, not chance determines your destiny. I can't help smiling when I think of some of the crazy choices I've made in my life.

Winning a pageant and moving to Bombay at 19. Training in dance techniques from Ballet and Kathak to Salsa and Calypso. Exploring the country through treks and wildlife safaris to adventure sports, from music television to travel shows. Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of nowhere and sometimes in the middle of nowhere you find yourself.

You could say I love to sit in the driver's seat and put my hands on the wheel. The road is mine and I'm going the distance full throttle.
Varun Mitra
I’m a true blue Delhi boy. I love to eat, play and adore cars.

Movies keep me alive and I can watch one every day! Hollywood or Bollywood- it doesn’t matter. I can call myself a travel junkie because I rarely need a reason to step out of familiar terrains. The best way to travel according to me is by road because that is when I can drive and test my speed limits and explore the place in its true spirit.

Being behind the wheels gives me huge rush and the faster the car the better it is. I feel like The King of the Tarmac.
