There are some things in life that keep you inspired; just as the Chanel Paris-Bombay Métiers d'Art 2011/12 show has driven us fashion patrons revive these India inspired styles. Here are the key trends from the show we absolutely adore!

The Smoky eye:

Dark and smoky eye makeup has been making waves in the fashion scene for some time now, yet we can't get enough. Avoid shimmer shadows which will enhance your creases; go for matte and creamy shadows instead. Ditch colour and stick to charcoal black kohl for defining your eyes and giving it the sexy, sultry effect!

One of the most popular Indian adornments gets an unusual twist. The Mmaang tikka just got funkier with the eclectic designs showcased at the Chanel Paris-Bombay collection. Hip and happening with a flavour of tradition, this fun accessory is sure to spice up any outfit.

Indian Sadhus couldn't care much about couture, but Fashion takes its cue from everywhere. This unconventional messy braided bun is inspired from our very own cultural heritage of the saints of Banaras. Wild and hippie, we say, thumbs up!
