Maruti Suzuki India is all set to in bring their new 800 cc car to the markets by the end of this year. It is likely to be more fuel efficient than the Alto which is currently the best selling car in this category.
The new car will only have an upgrade of the existing engine so that the cost of the car does not go too high. As per the company's official website, the prices of Alto stands at Rs 2.40-3.43 Lakh. A 1,000cc variant of the Alto is priced at Rs 3.14-3.31 Lakh. All the prices are for ex-showroom, Delhi. SO one can expect the new car to be priced anywhere between 3 to 4 Lakhs.
Rumors have it that the company will start commercial production of the car at its Gurgaon facility from July or August and will launch it by Diwali.
