To eat, or not to eat? That is the question.
And since we are what we eat, hence, to be or not to be?...unhealthy, overweight or generally feeling all wrong and unhealthy for eating all the wrong stuff.
Personally, I have always been lucky when it comes to being in shape. I can eat anything and everything and my metabolism makes sure that I don’t put on fat at all. Now I know that only a few of us are blessed with a body type like mine!
Being on the slimmer side of life is really cool, not to mention hassle free too. I know so many people who go through all kinds of regimes and somehow never quite manage to get into shape.
They are always holding themselves back, going through life depriving themselves of all the good things and wondering why nothing seems to work.
Fact is, most people do not know what they should eat and when. I am a chef by profession and I’m always either eating or cooking. My job has become even more challenging today, everybody wants delicious food with no fat at all!
I have to tell you this is quite the paradox. Great food always has some amount of fat. I use butter and oil quite liberally but let me say, how and when you eat something is more important than what you eat.
Regular exercise means that most of us can work off anything we eat. Not having the perfect body type is not the end of the world. There is hope my friends.
Let's get real, we all want to be slim-trim and fit. We all want to look and feel our best, if not for someone else, then for ourselves. How do you do it?
You could kill yourself in the gym and try all kinds of diets that promise all sorts of magical things, but the best way to do it is to just eat right. Eating right will make that workout much more effective.
What kind of nutrition to get and when is the key. Understanding your body type is the key. Once you have that, you can understand the food you need easily. That’s how I do it. You really are what you eat.
When I was asked to do a show on healthy cooking and eating right, I jumped at the chance. I was really excited at being able to share some ideas on innovative, healthy cooking in a fun way, with recipes that are tasty too.
To share some ways by which like me, you could also be feeling and looking slim and trim. After all, isn’t that what we all want?
