Holi means a lot to me as I have some fond memories associated with it. In spite of being a Parsi, I would look forward to this festival of colours and run riot along with my friends or rather our 'Gang' as I would love to call them, when I was still in school.
It was like full
and the build up to the big day used to be amazing. I remember, I loved throwing water balloons and I was horrible, as soon as the school would get over, I would run out and throw water balloons at other kids eating
outside the school and then I would hide. My principal would shriek, “ Perizaad is at it again!”
Once my best friend Avinash broke three eggs on my head and I got so upset that I didn't speak to him for three days, and he still remembers that day. I use to be the
of the lane but that was long ago.
Later my exams coincided with Holi, so I couldn't go out and play. Then I went to the US. I have never been a part of Holi parties or
parties and now I prefer to stay indoors.
I will play again when Zaha grows up, now I have a baby to play with, probably I will relive those emotions once again with my baby.
