 Jodhaa Akbar starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan is among the nominees for the Best Picture award at the 2009 IIFA awards.  Another big movie of 2008, Dostana is also among the Best Picture nominees at the 2009 IIFA.  One of 2008's and in fact one of Bollywood's biggest films till date is of course Ghajini.  The most uber-cool film of 2008 was Rock On and it is therefore one of the nominees in the Best Picture category of the 2009 IIFA Awards.  One of the few early hits of 2008 was Race, starred Saif Ali Khan, Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu, Akshaye Khanna and Anil Kapoor.  A somewhat off-beat film, A Wednesday has won much acclaim in all award ceremonies thus far, but this may be the first time it is competing along with popular films like Jodhaa Akbar and Race. |
