A Few of My Favourite Things...

We asked your favourite stars and celebs about a few of their favourite things. Here's what they say about their loves, likes, fads and fetishes...

Aamir Khan

Favourite Muse

People who have courage and strength, are strong internally and are sensitive, are the people who inspire me. Like my uncle Nasir Hussain, my mother, my cousin Mansoor Khan.

Priyanka Chopra

Fashion Favourites

I have a weakness for shoes, if I pass a shoe store I have to come out with at least three pairs! I never step out of the house without shades. It's my comfort zone, I feel like I'm protected.

My favourite accessory is my Tag Heuer Link Diamond watch. I can wear it with jeans as well as formals.

It's very me because it has a little bit of diamonds, mother of pearl and it's beautiful.

Farhan Akhtar

Favourite Timepass

I love getting a massage whenever I can but it doesn't happen that often. I think it's important to take care of yourself whether it's personal hygiene which includes getting your hair cut. And maintaining and making sure your head is clean.
Hygiene is one aspect and then of course there is luxury where you can relax and get massages!

Deepika Padukone

Favourite Accessory

It keeps changing. I remember a couple of years back it used to be rings. I couldn't do without rings. Now suddenly, I have this whole fascination for little balis and small earrings.

Imran Khan

Favourite Gift

Aamir gave me a car after Jaane Tu... was released. He called me to his house, took me to the balcony and asked me what I felt about the car below? I looked down, there was a white BMW with a red ribbon on it.

He was smiling, I looked at the car, then I looked at him and asked, “I hope you're not kidding..b'cause if you are I will kill you!
He handed me the keys and said, “Let's go for a drive.” That was a gift I loved. I don’t think anybody gets such great presents.

Bipasha Basu

Favourite Bite

Sweets and me go hand in hand. My willpower for everything is too strong but I'm testing it for sweets for the first time. I'm a true Bengali, I love fish and I love mithai, specially the Indian mithai.

Rahul Bose

Favourite Activity

From the age of four or five, I can only remember playing all the time.

I'd wake up in the morning, go to the Bombay Gymkhana Club, play squash, go for a swim, have lunch, play snooker, followed by badminton and tennis, then hit the field.
Literally, four or five sports a day!

Even today if somebody says - “Lets go to Goa for a holiday,” for me Goa is not about the drinking and the partying.
It’s you wake up in the morning, you swim, you play volleyball, you play water polo, you do all that stuff and you are constantly active, because that’s what really makes me happy.

Shilpa Shetty

Style Favourites

I've always loved animal prints. I think that's one thing that's never gone out of style. Roberto Cavalli is doing it now, Gabbana did it as well...I don't do it because they have done it, I've always done it. I remember wearing leopard print when I shot for Chura ke dil mera...

I've continued to wear it because I feel it makes a statement. And it's My Style. So I'm very comfortable with that.

I love diamonds! You can never go wrong with them! White is the colour that can never go wrong even in casual wear.

If I'm confused, it's just a white vest with jeans or a white cotton tee shirt. There's nothing like a white sari, it looks so beautiful and glamourous.

Vir Sanghvi

Favourite Place

Kerala is my favourite state in India.
First of all, you have a very high level of literacy, you have amazing tree cover, you have every kind of natural feature, you have mountains, you have the sea, you have amazing back waters and you have places where there is so much greenery, such lush forestation, where you can walk and smell the spices, smell the herbs and commune with Mother Nature.

Koel Puri

Favourite Outfit

I don't leave my house without a bikini! Even if it's winter, because I think, “What if the sun comes out?” I have over a 100 bikinis!

Rohit Bal

Favourite Weave

It would have to be the Jamawar, which is one of the most exquisite textiles in the world. It comes originally from Persia but for the past many hundreds of years it has been made here by the Kashmiris. It's incredible and absolutely the most beautiful textile I've ever seen in my life.

Viveik Oberoi:

Favourite Hormone

I'm an adrenalin junkie and get a big kick out of doing stunts and difficult stuff. For me being in an action film is like being a kid in a candy store.

You have so many ideas and fantasies and they all come true when you are doing a big action flick.

Then you get a film like Mission Istaanbul where you get to do everything! I remember, me and Zayed were told one morning to jump from a 60-70 storey building!
There were some 50 floors and we were laughing as we went up the elevator.

We went to the edge of the building and looked down. Then we put on the rappling ropes and down we went!
It was amazing! After doing it the first time me and Z were like: “Can we do it again..can we do it again?!” And we did, five or six times till the guys told us, “Stop! We got the shot!”

Minissha Lamba:

Favourite Fruit

Kiwi is my favourite fruit. You don't find many people buying kiwis, they'd rather have apples, papayas and water melons. But you'll always find kiwis and grapes, big red ones, in my house.

Zayed Khan

Favourite Superhero

I was a huge Superman fan as a kid. It was also the time, my dad's film Abdullah released. So I'd look at him and think of him as this hero with a gun!

All I wanted to do then was dress up like the superheros. I'd bully my dad to get me these Superman and Batman costumes or I'd dress up like a dacoit.
Then I'd get all the workers in my house to play the villains. I would tell them to hide and would catch them and be the hero of the day!

Amrita Rao

Favourite Haunt

A favourite place of mine is the bookstore. I've just started reading Sidney Sheldon and I want to complete his entire series.

Autobiographies also interest me. In fact, I want to read Al Pacino's autobiography as he is one of my favourite Hollywood actors.

Astrology, talking about past experiences, the supernatural... are all concepts that fascinate me.

Rahul Dev

Favourite Exercise

I used to be quite heavy at 86 kilos. Today I weigh 76, a body weight I've maintained for the past 14 years! So how did I get there? It took a whole lot of pull-ups! Pull-ups are a fab stretch movement that engage the back and the bicep.

Look at any animal, a dog or cat at home, a lion in a zoo, even a baby, their first movement when they wake up, is a complete stretch! I do the same, I begin my workout with pull-ups. You can do pull-ups close grip, wide or really wide apart. No doubt it's my favourite exercise.

Isha Sharvani

Favourite Pastime

One of my favourite past times when I'm in Kerala is is taking the kayak out. We live by such a beautiful lake, so after a long day of dance it's so much fun to go kayaking or swimming.

When I was very small, I almost drowned in this lake! Then my father taught me to swim. Now I swim in the mornings with my dogs!
We look out at this beautiful lake every time we dance. It's such a central part of our lives. We've had so many great moments here...like when it's very hot after rehearsals we just dive into it!

Cyrus Brocha

Favourite Pet

Roofus, a man among dogs! It's the worst thing I could say about him. Roofus has been used in MTV Bakra in a lot of gags and I got fabulous reactions!

The funny thing about having a dog is without them the house is empty. There is no real noise happening except for the kids, which is a recent phenomenon in my home.

He's almost like this one connecting plug and everyone revolves around him. If he's not there, there's no conversation. You can say anything you want to your dog.

I tell him all kinds of dirty things! In fact, he puts his hands on his ears to say, “Stop it,” when he's disgusted. The best part is he never talks back. I wish I could get a wife like that!
